Bus: 1A, 2A stop Michaelerplatz, 3 min walk
The Palais is a barrier-free venue. The nearest public transport stop is 100 m away. There is a public disabled parking lot nearby. The path from the parking lot to the main entrance door is flat and asphalted. The entrance threshold is 3 cm high. There is an elevator and ramps in the building and the conference rooms are step-free. The toilet is wheelchair accessible.

HOW TO GET TO VIENNA
Arrival by plane
If you are traveling to Vienna by plane, you will arrive either at Vienna International Airport in Schwechat, or in Bratislava. To get from Vienna International Airport, located outside the city limits, to the city centre, you can take the City Airport Train (CAT), the Airport Express bus, the Schnellbahn (S-Bahn), the Vienna Airport Service or a taxi.
From Vienna International Airport
By City Airport Train: The City Airport Train leaves every half hour from the airport to the city center (subway station "Landstraße/Wien Mitte"). The trip takes 16 minutes. For more information please visit Website.
By Airport Express Busses: Airport Express Busses from the Vienna Airport Lines connect the Vienna International Airport and the city centre via four lines. For further information about timetables and fares, please visit the website of Vienna Airport Lines.
- Vienna International Airport - Morzinplatz / Schwedenplatz
- Vienna International Airport - Wien Meidling - Wien Westbahnhof
- Vienna International Airport - Donaumarina - Uno City – Kagran
By "S7" Schnellbahn (S-Bahn): From the airport, take the train towards "Wien Mitte", "Wien Nord" or "Floridsdorf". Please make sure to board "Wolfsthal" or "Flughafen" when going to the airport. You find the timetable following this link.
From Bratislava Airport
Bratislava Airport is located 65km from the centre of Vienna. The bus connection Bratislava - Vienna can be looked up at the websites of different private companies. For further information, please visit the website of Bratislava Airport. The trip takes approximately 90 minutes.
Arrival by train
Your climate-friendly journey: This is how you can easily reach the congress venue by long-distance and local public transport from Vienna's train stations.
- Main Train Station: U1 (Direction Wien Leopoldau) and then Underground U3 (Direction Wien Ottakring) in 4 minutes intervals / duration ~ 15 minutes
- Ostbahnhof: Tram D (Direction Wien Nußdorferstraße) in 7 minutes intervals in ~ 25 minutes
- Westbahnhof: Underground U3 (Direction Simmering Bahnhof) in 4 minutes intervals in ~ 10 minutes
In order to be able to plan your personal trip in detail, we recommend the following route planner or the ÖBB Scotty app. The exit of the U3 station (Herrengasse) is only 150 m away, directly opposite the Palais Niederösterreich. Public Transport in Vienna
Vienna has a well-developed public transport network. Buses, trains, trams and underground lines will take you almost anywhere in the city in no time at all. Vienna public transport Wiener Linien operates five underground lines, 29 tram and 127 bus lines, of which 24 are night lines. Night lines only operate between 0.30 am and 5 am. On weekends and public holidays the Vienna underground remains at the service of its passengers all night. Buy tickets online: Wiener Linien Online Shop. A single ride costs 2,40 Euro, a 24hr-Ticket costs 8,00 Euro and a 7-days-Ticket 19,70 Euro. Make sure to carry your valid ticket with you whenever using the system, as a failure in showing it to upon request results in a penalty of 105 Euro!
